Hi All,

I am a Singaporean working overseas. I bought my GR III in HK shortly after trying one that belonged to my friend as I was very impressed with the good dynamic range and beautiful LCD screen. Other than that, the fast f1.9 lens and impressive built quality in a compact camera body bowled me over too!

My gear also includes a Nikon D80, 18 - 200 mm VR II lens and a SB 600 flash.

My photography is mainly walkabouts though I wouldn't exactly classify it as "street". But now with the GR III, I am hoping I can venture into that genre.

I hope to learn from fellow Ricoh users here and also to contribute on this forum.

Shortly after using the GR III, I also created a blog where I post my pictures at http://www.shutteruncensored.blogspot.com

Hi Swotz,

welcome to the forum. I also just took delivery of a GRD III.
Already I have found the f1.9 lens wonderful as it helps get images in poor light that the GRD II would have struggled with.
Thanks for the link to your images - the BW work look great.
Was the firework image at the bottom taken with the GRD? or your Nikon?

Thanks for the welcome and glad u enjoyed the pictures. I am sure you will enjoy your GR III as much as me. Maybe you can also share your pictures on a blog?

The fireworks was taken with my D80. :D

Hi Swotz and welcome here! Nice blog and photos! I really like the Drifter, Happy Men and Run away home. I don't know like others, but I really like to see the photos (and read the stories behind them) from the other parts of world. It's very refreshing and inspiring! Thanks for coming and enjoy the forum! ;)

The GRIII it's to expensive for me at this time in France, I stand by a moment before buy it....


Now I want see your street works with the GRIII
