Hi all,

I'm Brian from the Philippines. I'm new to Ricoh GXR as well as to photography. I have the S10 camera unit as my only and primary photographic tool. I’m interested at architectural photography, time-lapse and macro photography.

Way back, I've been eyeing and searching for a digital camera since March of 2011 of which camera will fit into my needs and ended up with Ricoh GXR two months ago. I have a hard time looking for the camera since Ricoh has a small market here. I like Ricoh because they produce interesting cameras. I bought the GXR mainly due to its uniqueness, handling, UI, frequent firmware updates and future expansion of system (lens and sensor combinations). In summary, I’m glad to have my GXR with me.

By the way, here are some photos that I’ve had taken. Please bear my photos. :)

Hi all,

Thanks for the warm greetings and feedbacks.. I'm looking forward to participate to this friendly forum and to learn more about the Ricoh GXR Camera system. :)

Brian

Welcome to the forum Brian! Great pictures - the second one is my favourite. You show great potential already ;) .

Hi Brian and welcome to the club of the damned ;) Ricoh cameras are definitely not very known amongst the casual photographers, but many advanced photographers are aware of their uniqueness and very good customer support and listening to the customers (aside few exceptions, like true NR OFF in JPEG ;)). Their policy of feature enhancing firmwares are something most manufacturers failed to understand and something we all truly love and appreciate.

Enjoy your new camera and our little community! Please keep your photos coming!
