I'm mostly a Nikon and micro 4/3 shooter, but I have a fair amount of Leica M and LTM glass from my rangefinder days. I'm excited about the GRX M mount - I'm on the list at B&H.

Hi John and welcome here! Truly exciting times are ahead of us! Despite some moaning over the absence of AF mount and as with any Ricoh release "price", the M mount features sound really great. We can only hope the reality will be even better?

Enjoy the forum and don't hesitate to post some of your photos. It does not matter if they were taken with non-Ricoh camera. Just post them in "Open" gallery


I just checked your flickr and there are some great photos! I also noticed you are selling your M8. It will be really interesting to hear your opinion about the GXR M mount if compared with the M8.

Yes, the M8 is gone. I didn't find that the rangefinder protocol or interface was right for me. But, luckily I held on to most of my lenses, and I'm very excited about the Ricoh M mount. I hadn't really considered a Ricoh before, but I'm very impressed with what I've read so far.

Another forum that some of you might like is rangefinderforum.com if you have an interest in Leica glass.
