Hello there everyone!!!

I'm Luigi from Italy and I'm a new fresh user of Ricoh GR Digital II since very few days after took months of comparisons on flickr between GRDII and LX3!

Now I'm gonna learn how to get the best performance from my GRDII!! )

Hi Luigi and welcome here! Good choice! Although LX3 is really not bad camera, the GRDII lens is much better (not to mention its menu system and feature expanding FW upgrades). Hope to see some photos from Italy soon! There are several GRD users from Italy registered in this forum.

Hi Luigi, welcome to the forum..

I have both LX3 and GRD and IMHO the GRD is more fun, and easier to use. I agree the GRD lens is better. The LX3 can take good images but its just not as fun!

When I go out with my GRD2 I tend to look only for images that fit 28mm. It frees my vision and makes photography a bit simpler.

thanks for the welcome.... and since the curiosity killed my cat, can I ask you just to see, what are your MY1 and MY2 settings?...
I read often it's used to set MY2 for B/W but I read also often the best way is to have a clear RAW image then convert it into B/W because 1) more chances to dark more or less shadows and contrasts 2) from a sature RAW color image it is possible to have more detail informations about each color pixel to convert to relative grayscale....but I could be wrong.....
