Hello everyone. I'm brand new here. I've been using my grd3 for over a year now and I'm totally smitten with it. Some years ago I used to own a gr1 which was amazing so when the time came for me to go digital it felt only right to carry on with the gr series. I've always loved the work of photographers such as Elliott Erwitt who make street photography so interesting and thought provoking. The street is where I take all my pics; hoping that some time in the future, the mundane things I shoot will eventually tell a tale about the times in which they were shot. Here's hoping! I find the grd3 the perfect tool as it sits in my pocket ALL THE TIME. Ready in a heartbeat to capture the every day moments that pass me by. I'm looking forward to using this forum and hope to speak to you again soon. Cheers, Barney.

Hi Barney and a big welcome to the forum. I also use a GRD3, not quite so much these days as other things in life have taken over, but its still with me ready to be used.
You look to be in an interesting part of the UK.
I've been doing some family research and it seems some of my ancestors came from Rowde which is not all that far from you - at least by Australian standards :D
Hope to see some of your images sometime.
Cheers!

Hi Barney and welcome here! Do you have a public gallery to share with us? BTW, good choice of camera! ;) GRD is still my most favorite camera, despite of better image quality of APSC-based cameras. I only wish Ricoh would finally make 40mm version of GRD with even brighter aperture. Something like f1.4 would be just perfect ;) Eventually GRD with one step zoom (28/40). But this would of course mean slower lens.

Enjoy the forum!

Welcome to this friendly forum Barney! Hope you like it here :) . Look forward to seeing your pics ;) .
