Hi everyone, I just joined this forum and am looking around now... I see some DP people here. Nice to see a place where fellow Ricoh lovers can come and talk about stuff, post pics and all that.

I've been using Ricoh cameras almost exclusively now for a while, first a CX2 then a GRDIII, and then just about 2 years ago I switched to a GXR. I mostly use the A16 unit now but I also swap in the A12 50 as well. I've been seriously tempted to pick up the M mount unit again and again but my wallet tells me it is a dangerous road to go down. I'm also hoping for a new GXR body unit to come out, maybe with a better res screen but hopefully not much redesign because I love my GXR. I'm just worried it physically won't hold out much longer because a few buttons are starting to stick.

Anyway, I live in Japan and have a blog where I post pics I take. If anyone has a second and wants to check it out give it a look:

Hope to talk to everyone more later. Time to look at some posts...

Hi Chiba,
welcome and thanks for the link!
I to have the GXR though I only have some old Minolta glass to mount on my M-mount at present. GREAT fun though! ;)

Yeah, the idea of getting the M mount and just going for old glass is very very tempting. I think if I did I'd end up spending more time at antique shops and used camera stores than out taking pics. Wait, I think I do that anyway. :D

Hi and welcome, I also had a look at your link and images.
Thanks the images, I feel like I have been for a visit with you.

Welcome Chiba! Your wallet is very right telling your the A12M is a dangerous road... My last little "gift" is a Contax G 90 modified by Miyazaki San...still in customs! ;)

Nice lens AlbertTRAL, when you get it make sure to post pics!

I'm glad you liked the pics I took, thelps. I started the blog mainly to post pics for family so they could see how things are here, but just taking pics with a good camera got me more and more into the idea of photography as an act, and not just in recording stuff. For that I have to thank the Ricoh people who made the GXR and the GRD (where I first got started for real).
