Currently using a Ricoh GR DIGITAL III, I have been a user of Ricoh cameras since they introduced the GR D.

My background in photography includes working in both film and digital (including developing and printing in b&w as well as colour) with compact, rangefinder, reflex as well as medium format cameras.

Hi TMP and welcome on the board! I fully agree with your initial monthly page article! I too miss the 40mm focal length for GXR. I think there is still a hope for such module. It's just that Ricoh decided to first cover the most used aspects of Ricoh photography, which is the wide angle and macro. Now they need compact zoom (planned for next year, I guess 24-90mm) and the so many times discussed lens mount. After that, I see a very good chance we will get also 35/40mm module? But most probably not before 2012?

welcome to the forum, always good to see a fellow Ricoh user. Please post some images when you can. As someone who works in photography its always interesting to have your perspective as to what works and what doesnt on the job. Luckily as an amateur I only have to please myself most of the time. Pleased to see you use a GRD III. I will engage your discussion on 40mm on your other posts!
