Whaaat? No conversation regarding the news gere on the dedicated GR forum?
So there is a lot of bashing on forums, reddit specially, etc.about the new GR III/x HDF versions.
What's your thoughts of them?
I am thinking of getting the IIIx model and this HDF version is very much an option for me over the regular IIIx, but have to wait and see a little time before that.
The filmlike rendering of the images do look good to my taste, i get it's not for everyone, but com8ng from the filmera it reminds me of fond times. I don't like to work much if any on my shots afterwards, and the look pleases my eye, so it's a good solution for my usage.
I personally have nothing negative to say about them, I haven't used them, so obviously I couldn't even, but people are different today.
It's sad the way people online reacts to these issues, in my view anything that makes Ricoh produce and sell more cameras is good for us users also, maybe the many users complaining isn't in fact very much GR users, i don't know?
I see this as a welcome addition and we do also get a firmware update to our "regular GR III's" along with this update, hopefully this week.
I wouldn't recommend reading at least reddit group for GR, people is sadly misbehaving over there on this release.
