Wow, these are fantastic Marcus. I think the Industar is a great buy :D
Wonderful colors and sharpness..

Very nice demonstration set. There are some new GXR bargains around in the UK at present but the 'M module' is still not being reduced otherwise I could be very tempted. Do you use the EVF to focus?

Thank you Genster, much appreciated......I've been trying out several lenses lately, the Industar being the best yet for colour and sharpness. ;)

Thanks to you also Richard. ;) ....I must admit I'm using my partner's M mount at present. They're a bit out of my price range!...I tend to get the lenses and adapters off ebay at reasonable prices when I can afford them......
An EVF I don't have yet but is definitely on the list of things to get as I find the screen very difficult to see in bright situations, my eyes not being the best also.

Marcus,

Thanks - Andy also told me that the EVF was a massive help when focusing.....unfortunately that also pushes the price-up!

Richard

Yes, I was thinking also that the sharpness is excellent, exquisite.
The image of the flowers demonstrates the sharpness and bokeh which I also find good.
Nice buy Marcus.

Great set. Interesting lens in the hands of a good photographer. I love the fourth one. I also love the tonal balance (hope it is the right term) in these. I often think a lot of B/W photos have too much contrast and sometimes looses the interesting grays in between. To me, these are perfect. Are the B/Ws from the camera or done in pp?

Thanks Tim...... ;)

To you too esp.
Yes. I always shoot B&W as B&W, and colour as colour, and though I do PP, I do as little as possible. ;)

I've just WON ! an m mount on eBay. I'm looking forward to using it. I would welcome a few suggestions for lenses and adapters . Thank you .
Love the shots btw

Really good images, Marcus.
You have put the 50mm focal length to very good use! The out of focus zones compliment the sharp areas wonderfully...almost (?) better than a Leica... ;)
Andy

Thanks Andy. It really is a lovely lens to use.....BTW, never even held a Leica myself :!: though I did try a Voigtlander on the M mount. I think this one compares very well to it.

To be honest, neither have I! I was lucky enough to pick up a 2nd-hand 15mm Voigtländer on a Dutch website at a good price and I grow to love this lens/M mount combination dearly. I have also been playing about with my old Minolta glass with mixed success; the 50mm f1.4 is a real stunner and quite easy to focus, even when not wide open. I also have my old 17mm Rokkor which is an f4 and a bit of a pig to focus, as even wide open it is hard to judge. Several times now I thought I had a great capture only to find out later that it was not properly sharp...which is frustrating! Maybe I should sell it and try and find something a bit easier to use on the M mount. Don't think it will be a Leica though! ;)
All the best,
Andy

Richard

I note that RG Lewis in London is doing the body and M mount for £999
