GXR + S10 Thread

Just an hour back I ordered GXR+S10 and hope to add A12 in near future.While browsing through the forums, I found many many threads talking nice things about A12 (and few issues about focusing) but have so far not seen much feedback on S10 module.

Now I do understand S10 is more or less GX100/200 unit with some improvements. Still, folks with S10 units, please share your feedback, photos, experiences in reply to this thread.

Sagar, I just ordered the S10 module so you can bet I will be posting information on it after I have had it in my hot little hands for a few days.
 
I'm sure this post will dismay some people but no more than it dismays me having spent the money on the S10 but I am very disappointed in the IQ of this module. If I had started with this module the camera would have gone back as fast as I could box it up. To be completely fair I haven't tested it in bright daylight conditions because we have had a major rain storm and overcast skies since I got the unit. Also, some people like a grainy image, I don't. When I compare images shot with the Canon S90 to the S10, at base ISO for each or even for 200 ISO for the S90 and S10 there is no comparison in IQ and detail. In a subsequent post I will post sample images when I have a little more time. The most positive things I can say are that I like the size and weight and the field of view of the 24mm lens but it is down hill after that. The AF appears to be faster but it is an illusion because the measured performance is actually slower. Again, this is all preliminary and I will follow up with more as soon as I have more time.
