GX-100 HDR

Here goes my first HDR. I took it with my GX-100 from the window from where I work. I made it with 3 pictures (+1 ev, 0 ev, -1 ev). I know I abused a bit in the tone mapping...

(as you can notice I made it with the trial version of photomatx, I usualy use Mac or Linux)

Here it goes

I like it. Some might say its overdone. But i think this way it makes an (probably) mundane sight pretty interesting. Keep it up!

I too use PhotoMatix, most of the time i take -2, 0, +2 exposures. But that depends on the dynamic range of the scène. In your case i think you shot at dusk (2 am doesn't seem right to me).

Usually, I'm the one who would say "it's overdone" ;) But I like the effect of the tone mapping in this particular photo. It works really great here!

Ok ok... It's overdone it's true... :D

I guess it's the normal reaction for everyones first HDR. Next time I'll try to be a bit more discrete... He he he

Too strong tone mapping is the usual mistake people do with their HDR attempts. For me personally, the best HDR is the one where you actually don't see the HDR processing ;) But there are few exceptions like your photo, where the stronger tone mapping works fine.

I like it too!
It has a rather 'supernatural' quality which I really works...
I know I have said this before, but I really, really must try HDR... :)

I think it looks very good, not 'real' but an impressionistic rendering that leans towards reality.
good job

I like your photograph for another reson. The way the two buildings frame the other building & its sky. I like how it draws your eye in & out to see all the detail. I to do HDR because it great to recover some detail lost in the shadows.
