GRDIII sensor specs

Interesting choice by Ricoh, seems they would have looked at many options -

Sony states..
"In the luminance signal, it features a signal-to-noise ratio improved by about one f stop over current devices."

Add to that the brighter lens that the GRD3 has over the GRD II and we have a good step up in low light performance.
It would be curious to know what Sony products use this sensor, if any!

Higher base sensitivity is good news, but we have to remember it's "marketing document" ;) I'm really curious how is the real performance and if it's as good as LX3 sensor. Because LX3 sensor is phenomenal when it comes to DR. At least in RAW. So I can't wait to test GRDIII and LX3. It may not be a completely fair test, but definitely interesting to see.
