Well, I'm hard pressed to keep both the Sony RX100 along with the GRD4. Of course the Ricoh, the White Mother of Street will not be going anywhere but in my pants pocket. The Sony is on soft ground. I then decided on a way that maybe I could keep both. I am using the GRD4 with the 21mm adapter and the CA-2 remote. The camera hangs on my chest and the release is in my hand. No one knows that I'm making photos because I'm not touching the camera.

Sometimes I use my left hand to change the angle on the camera to the subject. I should explain that I am about 75% accurate to what the camera is seeing. The other 25% is the camera having a say in the work.

Maybe because I'm older now and supposed to be more more mature, don't ask my wife or family....that I can feel a collaboration with photography, the camera, the subject and myself. It appears that the viewer is in this process also as taught by Minor White.

I feel like a young shooter again. I'm inspired to try new ideas.
I still maintain the position that all the friends on the forums etc inspire me on a daily basis. That goes for YOU too...if your reading this.....

Hi Don,

Thanks for sharing your technique - I've all that kit (DW-6 not GW-2) so could give it a go sometime - my main challenge is the lack of a street out here in the countryside!

I really like the composition of #3

I did have a bit of go at street photography last April when visiting Norwich. I simply held the camera in one hand at waist height (having switched off the time out and all the lights). As you invited some posts they are below - please comment.

Don.......I keep going back to #1. Questions, questions. Is he inside or outside? benevolent or malevolent? human or alien? I like the ambiguity. Ahhhhhhhhhh now I see a bottle and a glass............all falling into place. You have to really study. Great!

Hi Don. I like the idea of using the remote trigger. I thought about this myself a few times. I just wondered if you can aim reasonably well enough. But you've shown that its easily done. It seems a great way of creating absolute stealth mode.

Nice series. Looking forward to seeing more using this technique.

Also the 21mm lens looks great. I have always just stuck with the bare bones GRD3 and no extras.

Richard, they look very good to me. #1 is really very nice and I see ya got Pete in #2....

The thing with the remote is that I want to be seen as a photographer but not making photos. I don't really care about that but with the 21, you can get very close. I like the idea of surprise. The subject is looking at me and not sure what I'm up to....then I sometimes aim the camera with my left hand and use the remote in the right.

I just like the results I'm getting and at my age I can feel good about this because I am hitting at least 75% accuracy in the frame.

thanks all.....
