GRD iV Firmware2.30 Problem

I uploaded the 2.30 firmware to my GRD iV today. Everything uploaded nicely. I have one problem though. When I put the camera setting on B&W high contrast the screen stays in color and the images take in color. All other settings under the IMAGE SETTINGS menus works. I am puzzled. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Nice bug spotting!
Just replicated on mine. ONLY when trying to record in RAW, but when set to raw exactly the same as you. Fine in Jpg.
Sadly, may have to live with it as I'll be surprised if we get another firmware update on the IV...

There is a complete camera reset that "might" or "might not" fix the issue.
You can find how to here at the bottom of the page - http://ricohforum.com/phpbb/viewtop...0&sid=9d71bb86873f4c300e3d1d86d4bed900#p63499

Of course use at your own risk as it will clear all your settings, frame counts etc.
If I get a chance I will retrieve my GR IV and test it sometime.

The only other thing I can suggest is go back to an earlier FW. I can't be sure it will go backward but I seem to recall someone has done this.

I cant be 100%, but I'm 99% sure I performed the full reset since 2.30 update (was just mucking around), so likely it wont make any difference.

Be interesting to hear if others are getting the same on 2.30.

Thanks All. I found the issue. It is on page 58 or 68 in the manual. When setting the "Image Settings" on Hi Contrast B&W the "Continuous Mode" must be OFF! If it is set on any thing else such as Continuous or other settings the camera will default to "Standard" and start taking color images. This is counter intuitive. Ricoh should fix in next firmware update. There are time I would like to shoot in Continuous mode, or AF Continuous mode. I would like to see this fixed Ricoh. It makes not sense. Any way all. Thank you for your replies!
