GRD II grip

I came across an image while surfing and saw the grip of the GRD II just falling apart from the body for some reason i dont know. I know the wear and tear comes in and that there are service centers around the world but my question is how can we avoid this to happen? Are there some ways or limitations for the capacity of the grip.

Thanks and Good day everyone.

Falling GRD/GRDII rubber grip is unfortunately a known problem. On my GRDII it only slightly moves, but I can flip the grip easily out. The problem is, that it cannot be glued permanently, because under the rubber grip, there are some service screws. So the permanently glued grip would make the service harder. But I agree that at least a bit better glue is required. It seems that the currently used glue is just losing its adhesive qualities during the time and due to hot/sweatily environment coming from palms.

How about some highly adhesive but slim double sided tape? This should make it removable for servicing but still leave the adhesive replaceable.
