GR Limited Edition

I'm considering buying a GR, and hesitate between a regular and a limited edition. Would be great if some limited edition owners could comment - do you still enjoy yours, is it wort the extra money? Thanks, Frank

Hi Frank,
I have a plain jane black one but would consider the limited if buying another.
There has been a couple of comments on the "Limited Green" before - http://ricohforum.com/phpbb/viewtop...1&sid=e4405639d0a8a32740977bac1b893911#p63327

About the only practical difference is the smooth grip over the rubberised.

I believe you do get a brown leather case & strap as well as the hood and adapter included. The additional value of items makes up some of the price difference.

The question here is if you like and will want the hood and case?

Personally I like the look of it. :)

Hi Frank, Tim....I hear the limited model has an improved lens unit like the one installed in a repair. Very cool looking tho'.

If you care about the environment you'd choose the limited as its a green camera! ;)

Tim, if you get the Green model, I'll make sure to be envious.

You won't be as envious as I am of your images!

Don, where can I see some of your recent work? What forums are you posting recent images on? Flickr still the go?

Cheers.

Probably to late but I got the LTD Green edition because I preferred the muted retro look so for me it was worth the extra cost. The wooden grip is not as slippery as I thought it was going to be and is comfortable to hold and use.
It is a funky little camera that I carry everywhere and I think people take even less notice when I am using it (more so than the black model).

Maybe they think it is going rotten due to green colour!! I would have loved the limited version but could not justify the extra cost. I traded in some unused kit so paid £300 for my black one with case so cannot complain - great camera no matter what colour!
