Freezing fog

Visting my sister earlier in the week, I woke to freezing fog and tried a few shots with the trusty GRD4.

All good in their own way Richard. I do like the splash of colour given be the red roof behind the frozen holly hedge in #1...
 
Beautiful shots Richard. Love seeing that thatching on the house....is this fairly popular, or is it thought of as more expensive to do?
 
Thanks for the comments guys - you wake-up in the morning to quite thick fog and don't automatically think (at least I don't) that it could be an interesting day to take some pictures. Quester, the thatching is quite traditional in this part of Lincolnshire. It's a bit of a dying art but does provide a very well insulated roof and of course is 'green'. The disadvantages are that it needs to be re-done more ofthen than modern roofing systems, can be the home to vermin and is not liked by many insurance companies especially when mixed with open fires...
