Still hunting for good condition GR1.
Meantime, got Nikon F2 + 50mm AiS lens. First contact with such manual camera.
First roll revealed that shutter is dying. At least managed to get this shot.
In spite of all odds, including poor lab scan - it is "to keep" one :-)

Dying how? F and F2 models are epitomes of duralibility. As they are fully mechanic machines the only thing that can happen is sticky shutter. The shutter itself can`t be dying. It can only be just dead because of broken part or jammed.
 
Something like that, black parts on side of the image. Especially at faster shutter speeds, 1/1000, 1/2000.
I think I will give it a chance and visit Nikon service.

If it is only a sluggish shutter then a service may sort it out...good luck!
