David,
they are all good in their own way. Stirling Castle still looking stubborn then! Easy to be inspired I find, in such places...

Wow, for me the first photo is amazing for its layers - shadow, sun, snow - with the tiny balancing detail, the building down right. Nice set, David.

Many thanks for your kind comments, always much appreciated :D

First trip to Scotland for a long time, I'll certainly be heading back in the near future!

Dynamic range just right, hard to do in the landscapes you shot - beautiful!
I'd be happy to know if you do any PP with the PX - I've been using mine for a bit over a year, and do processing in Picasa only.
I've found that in good light most auto functions (white balance, ISO) work well.

Quester,

I use ACDSee to PP my PX photo's, usually just a tweak of the shadows/highlights, maybe a little contrast & a liitle sharpening. but that's about it.

Dependant on the subject, I also convert to sepia.

The PX is best suited to decent light, I find that an ISO of no more than 400 and Multi-P white balance seem to work well.

I haven't yet tried any underwater shots.

I use my PX as a 'carry anywhere' cam, very useful in dusty or damp conditions [building sites] or when the weather is poor.

The more I use my PX, the more I like it :D

Please post some PX photo's, I'd like to see how you're getting on with your PX.

I think we both have been "hooked" by the usefulness of this tool - I,too, have it with me at all times, including all day at work on the farm, without the anxiety of it getting wet, dirty, or dropped. The fact that it is truly pocketable and designed well from a photographer's point of view, is a big plus for me.
I don't have time right now to post more photos, but as I mentioned in the "end-of-the-world" thread, you can take a look, if you want, at this link : https://picasaweb.google.com/jnessj/Ric ... 9511665874
where I have about 200 of my favorite shots.

And yes, I'd certainly enjoy a more serious camera as well, but that'll have to wait in the meantime. If someone dropped a Sigma DP1M in my lap, I wouldn't mind..... ;)
