Fair time

There is not really any "street " scene around here and I don't aspire to shoot " street " either . But , every year just before school starts the fair comes to Blue Hill and I thought that as a challenge I would try my hand at a different style of photography . I don't think I will be heading in this direction but I have to say that it was fun and nerve wracking . I didn't get punched , though ! Many of the pictures are just as they came out of the camera but some I tweaked a little . I hope you enjoy them and please feel free comment .
Thanks
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

I think I share your sentiments about 'street' - I guess if I lived near one I might become more comfortable with taking close-up shots of strangers. I do like your set though especially the one with the lady ordering over the counter (expression on the person serving) and the guy with the ketchup. It looks like the guy in the last shot was having to restrain himself! Nice colours.

It looks like a great event, Jeff. Photographing stranger faces from a short distance is not my cup of tea either, namely when shooting alone, even having all the camera sounds turned off and using a small compact instead of a noisy DSLR. However, accompanied by a bunch of fellow photographers is a different story. It really helps greatly. :)

Geeze Jeff,
My heart goes out to you. It's easy to see how uncomfortable you are doing the street.....oh, sorry...the fair.

It seems your adapting to the camera pretty well, I still can't say the same.....
