A lovely still evening at a secluded seaside spot.
This is straight out of the camera - GRD3.

I like it! But in my opinion, it calls for 3:2 or maybe eve 16:9 crop? Did you try it cropped (either from top or bottom)?

I think its an awesome image, a classic GRD image - other version would be welcome but I like this anyhow!

Excellent photograph.

If you were thinking of cropping have you considered 1:1 format, cropping at the 3rd from right hut?

Just a thought :)

Thanks for your feedback guys.

I've added two cropped versions of the original image - let me know what you think

I agree with Pavel. The out of focus foreground in both the original and 1:1 version is too disturbing for my taste.

Hmmmm, I've been pondering on this one....

Although, compositionally, I think the 16:9 crop is more successful, I'm beginning to think that the balance of light and tones is better in the 1:1 crop.

It was an 'end of day' shot, and therefore the light was fading, and although I could play with the levels etc in Aperture, and try and draw out more detail, this (as it currently stands) is representative of the scene as it was.

I might have a play when I get time, and post another version in due course.

Thanks to all for the feedback.
