Empty Chair

New Member
This type of affordable plastic chair is not only used by house owners, coffee shops, hawker centres but also in
roadside restaurants. Found this chilly red chair up in a block of flat but I felt it had lost its freedom and
had to remain there until someone wants to free it to another location. In fact anyone can remove
the chair easily because it was tied up to the thin wall pipe with a very thin string.

I like this kind of B&W shots with just one colored item. Nice one!

Regarding the chained chairs, I have similar shot, but this time wheel-chair. Too fast to be free..

No problem odklizec, one of the beauty of an active forum is that the members start to share
pictures of similar subject. We would welcome anyone to post images of chained empty chairs
and perhaps state the reasons for doing so.

Do you like the colour or the partial black-and-white version?
Enjoy!!!

I do not know if the first one is "partial" but if it is i like it!!!

These two chairs look dirty and being parked outside a shop house,
however on closer look they are chained. What else can we say?

Not exactly that the town is full of chained chairs. It takes a little bit
of careful precision in the photographer's eye to spot the beauty of such item when
attempting street photography and to capture it in such a way that it provides sheer
enjoyment for the viewer.

Here is another image captured from a different angle rendered to give the viewer
more attention to the chair as well as the chain.

The number 21 is special because today is 21st September, 2007 a bright sunny day for photographers
to get out of the house with their cameras to hone their creative spirit.

Re: Empty Chairs

In the wee hours of the morning these chairs seems to isolate itself from the busy newspaper deliveryman who was in a hurry to move away quickly on his bicycle.

I think the deliveryman almost seams to hower, suspended in mid air above the chair. But with that viewing perspective he also looks very tiny in comparison.

One just arriving in time...

Perhaps when one arrive at one's future, will one blame one's past?
