I heard some sirens and sure enough it was the fire brigade. There was a small bush fire on the cliffs right under some houses. The wind was about 25 kts directly on-shore so there was a good chance of it spreading quickly.
Access was a bit difficult but at least the tide was only half in. They used a small pump directly in the sea (ouch - very salty). This guy's job was to move it every 10 minutes as the tide was making.
Still time to enjoy the view though:
Mungo was bit disappointed that it wasn't a BBQ and that the firemen hadn't brought any sandwiches to the picnic spot.
