As a non-Ricoh photographer, I could not join the recently closed CARNIVAL TIME monthly contest. However, as there was a quite big carnival around the middle of February here in Zilina and I was in the streets with my camera I though I would share with you what could be seen there. This time, I tried to prepare an overview of masks by removing the distracting background. You may imagine how much selection work was needed to achieve the goal. Thus I hope you like the result.

The "Bighand" man below, a great fellow photographer, is a father of the idea of reviving the carnival tradition in our city. Thanks to him (and some other persons like city mayors and sponsors
) the revived carnival writes its 6-th chapter this year and grows in size and beauty.
