Only 14 days for trial :( . Very, very fast raw converter; not skilled enough to say much else except that I think SP brings out more detail.
For those who might feel nostalgic about High School Latin; in order of photos and all taken in Namaqualand in winter:

Hyobanche sanguinea
Chersina angulata ( angulate tortoise )
Scarabaeus rugosus (Green Grooved Dung beetle )
Zygophyllum morgsaga

Nice pics Chris! My Bibble trial is over too. I like its lightning speed and NoiseNinja integration, plus the film-like plugin. Its workflow is very easy to learn and use. But I still prefer the Silkypix colors and worklfow ;)

I agree with you Pavel. After using many RAW developers (Lightroom, Camera RAW, Bibble, etc...) the color render in Silpypix and the easy to use are just great (at least for our Ricoh´s cameras). Yesterday I made a test putting a picture developed with Silkypix (with minor adjustments) and printed with Lightroom 3 Beta, next to the subject where I took the picture with my GRD2, and they look 95% the same (color, white balance, definition, etc...) As a Printmaker, I only hope that Silkypix will add some "soft proof" setting so I can make very fine adjustment before I send the pictures to print as Photoshop CS3 does. Not a easy task I think, but they should do it. Without having a "real" paper emulation preview, I have to stick with Adobe´s soft for my printing needs.

Thanks gents for visit and comments. Every time I access this forum I learn something from someone - which is a great experience, and ends the day off on a good note.

Detail Man,
I chose all these photos because there were "blown highlights " ( I think that is the correct expression for excessive exposure ) somewhere or other in the photo, as a challenge to see what bibble could do with detail. I try to keep equipment down to an absolute minimum owing to long walking distances in this strange desert and I am never too certain from what I might have to run or how fast. RAW for my photographic interest is a great benefit. I read many of your comments and I wish to thank you for the time and effort you put into them - a big plus to this forum in my opinion. ;)

Here´s one example of the great color rendering of both Silkypix and Ricoh´s GRD2. Red it´s the most difficult color to reproduce, because there are so many Reds that it´s dificult to tell a difference between two of them. With this picture I´ve made the excercise of putting the print side by side with the subject at the same time when the picture was taken, and I realize that the picture it´s a "real" reproduction of what I saw when I press the shutter with my GRD2.
Tip of my workflow: Open de Raw file in Silkypix, Display management enable with a ICC profile previously hardware calibrated, AdobeRGbB color space out embebbed, DNG standard color taste applied and that´s all. The RED is the RED I saw.
