Blurs on display

Hi,

I just realized my display got some strange blurs. Cleaning does not change anything. They are easily visible when display is off, not that much when display is on. The body is handled with care. No salt water. In some cases rain drops, wiped out as soon as possible. Any idea what has caused this? Body is still under warranty, but don't like to ship it arround if no need be.

this sounds as though it could be another example of GXR/GRD screen anti-flare delamination?
My GXR developed this, and it showed up as a large thumb-shaped patch exactly where my thumb came into contact with the screen whilst using the VF-2.
When I looked carefully at the screen with a hand lens, it was clear that it was not a stain, but material loss.
It could be though, that you are discussing a very different condition?
Ricoh UK had no problem accepting my unit for screen replacement...

Hi andy,

that helps. Primarily I was looking for, if it was me causing this myself by what ever, or someone else experiencing this. So I try for a warranty replacement, because I do not remember anything causing this anti-flare delamination.

Finally I got the LCD replaced. Quick and without any discussions. Great service by Ricoh.
