Bird watching

Is a statue a person (as in People/Faces index)? This one is life sized and near the Scottish Sea Bird centre at North Berwick. The island is the Bass Rock, home to a massive Gannet colony.

We don't have much like this around here Richard, at least not that I've seen.
Its a curious thing. Is it modeled on someone in particular, perhaps some famous local bird watcher?
Local artist made it perhaps?

Tim, thanks for your interest. I can't find the answer to either of your questions on the harbour trust or Scottish Sea Bird websites. I've added another shot. It's a very effective piece of work.

Lovely compositions and I did a Googler as I also was intrigued by this sculpture since I was at this very spot about 4 years ago and did not see it. It was unveiled on 28 March 2014.
