After 'the greening' with the GRD4 it was the turn of the GXR (A12 50) and this time a 'proper' avenue.

#4 will nail the location for Andy.

Very hard sunlight (not a complaint!) so quite difficult to juggle the exposure.

Hi Richard!
To be honest, I had the location pinned at #1...there are not many 'no entries' signs to choose from in these primitive parts of this world that we dwell in!
The intensity of green is so beautiful on the Black Isle just now though, a feature which just does not happen in Vienna where they are much more muted restrained...

Richard, these are right on. It amazes me that I could have been so stupid to sell my GXR's. These photos have a photographic clarity that is only equaled by my German lenses. (No name required)
Good show ....

Richard

A long, long time ago my father returned from the store that usually devloped his kodak film and showed me a photograph he had taken with his leica at the flower show some days earlier. The photo had captured, in addition to some flowers whose names I do not remember, some foliage representing several shades of green. When I asked him why he thought it was so amazing, he said that only a Leica lens could have differentiated those shades on the leaves of a single plant at that distance.

Not that it matters much any more but it's good to know that a Japanese manufacturer is finally capable of the same!

Nice set.
