Anyone notice the peaking mode in the new NEX firmware?

Hello, everyone
I am new here, although I keep reading this forum for a long time, but just registered today.
It is hard to discuss with others about Ricoh and GXR, since less people have a GXR :(

Well, I recently found that Sony add a new "peaking mode" for MF in the NEX firmware, which is quite appealing.
here is the video demo:

I want to know is it possible for us to recommend Ricoh to implement similar things in future firmware? It is much better than x2,x4,x8 magnify

now thats something i would like to see (or similar..) on the GXR. it is a grat little camera with only one drawback - MF. this is really not usable at all at the moment.

Hi nevup and welcome on the board! It's a very interesting MF feature! It would be really great to see something like that in the GXR and especially in the M mount module. But I guess Ricoh is up to something different in case of the M mount? Let's wait and see ;)

Thanks. Well, I have been waiting for this new module for quite a long time, but if ricoh uses some other ways to solve the MF problem for M mount module, I hope this new method can be also available for A12 modules without buying a new body...I think I just need to be more patient :)
