Anyone have owned one of this Ricoh? RDC-2

There is a chance to buy this "classic" Ricoh digital for about u$s100 in Argentina. I´m not a collector, I just want to have fun with it. Is it worth it? Thanks

Heh it could be fun to try this ancient gem. But I doubt the image quality will be any good. Most of today's mobile phones got higher resolution

I've not tried the RDC-2 but it is not too unusual on Ebay. I've even seen the first RDC-1 a few times, often overpriced though. http://www.ricohforum.com/viewtopic.php ... 9&start=10
I certainly believe that these RDc-7, 500, 700 and the RR1 (the last one with that design) are better options for image quality.

Yes, you`re right about the price. But finding any kind of Ricoh camera in South America it`s just a hard work. I doubt there is just 3 or 4 GRD users in Argentina, one of them myself. Ricoh is known downhere just for copy machines. When someone see my GRD2, they can`t believe that Ricoh builds such a good digital cameras. About IQ, I`m not really concerned... I`ll find a way to find a series for this one (b&w macro perhaps??)

Playing around my house, I´ve got this 3 pics from the RDC-2. Nice toy. If you forget about IQ, you can have fun postprocessing the file and gets some uncommon results. We are talking about a 1996 Digicam with 399.000 efective pixels. Pre-historic.

I live in Buenos Aires and I own a GX-100. I bought it though ebay some months ago.
