Another Try With My A16.

Wiener

Active Member
As I described on another post, my A16 zoom unit has been gathering dust on the shelf for a while. Following the posting of some very nice images from the A16 unit by other forum members, I tried it out again for a while this afternoon. I have mixed in a couple of pics taken with my M-mount amongst them, but hopfully the exif files will remain intact this time and so these can be identified...if not, the more brightly coloured ones will probably be the A16! ;)
All the best,
Andy

They are all lovely images. I particulary like the colour saturation level on them, all very gentle film like and pleasant.
The old derelict building looks like a great restoration project for someone but we have see TV shows demonstrating how difficult approval for such things can be.

No pot of gold at the end of that rainbow that I can see ... :(

I do particularly like the farmhouse. Very sublime!
Thanks Andy

Great photos Andy. I really like the colors of this photos.
The farmhouse photo is fantastic but I also love the last photo because of the position from where it was made. It's like you are gonna drive against the pole :D

Very nice and should encourage us all to photograph more on dull days to capture the mood. The A16 looks pretty useful to me.

Hi Andy,

Nice shots, I also like the farmhouse and the "pole" road where is that as a matter of interest? Looks like a great road for a blast.

Thank YOU Tim for your feedback. The ruin is Castle Craig on the other side of the ridge from my house. It dates from before 1561 and, like the Redcastle post from Richard, is built from the local red sandstone. However, this invariably gets eroded from west to east as the weather comes from that direction. There is actually not much stable structure left as it is now eaten up past the central circular stair. When viewed from the East it still looks in good repair and the detail on the high level stonework is beautiful. From the west, not so good... ;)
I processed the images to increase the saturation a little, but tried not to overdo it! Glad you liked the results!
As for the pot of gold...if only I had packed my wellies! :(

Thanks Genster! The house with the aspens blowing in the breeze behind does work well...pleased with that one myself! :)

#1 does it for me! Fantastic underexposed mood! Congrats. ;)
Glad you like it! Our photo competitions always remind me how peoples tastes vary...I do try those 'into the light' shots quite often in the hope that good will come out of it...

Hi Stephen, this is the Mount High road on the Black Isle, Ross and Cromarty. It is steeper that it looks in the photograph, thus I have not dared to cycle up it (or down!) for a while now... ;)
