Somehow I feel high contrast working well for my current mood…

Nice set. Some days hi contrast is the deal, other days it can be bleach bypass. I too thought #4 stood out from the rest and have tried to work out why. I think the eye is drawn initially to the cigarette then the eyes and cheek bones of the face - really good lighting. The dark head/hair on the right adds some mystery and there are some strong graphics in the guy's shirt and the line of the cigarette and his nose. So a great job in my opinion and your reflexes were spot on.

Dears, thanks for visit.
Indeed, some days, Hi Contrast looks the choice, like this one.
I`ve fixed on it now, but nothing even close to what you see above :-(.

Darek, you've got the GR down my friend. I don't remember that setting when I had the camera. How did you get the photos to look like the GRD4? ......

.........

I'm a baaaad boy, I know......

Don, it is just "Daido Mode": BW High Contrast effect, with contrast at max, and medium wignetting. Nothing more, I did not alter jpg in any other way than just resizing in LR.
And actually this way deals with the biggest disadvantage which GRDIV has - shutterlag.
