This is St Margaret's in the small Lincolnshire village of Somersby. My sister is involved with fund raising for roof repairs (a very familiar story). These are all GXR A12 28 JPGs.
The church was originally thatched and is made of a local green sandstone although it was extensively repaired with brick by the Victorians.
The interior is very simple.
The church's claim to fame is that Somersby was the birth place of Alfred Tennyson who is still one of the most widely read poets in the English language.
