Cath,

Interesting set of photographs, I very much like #1 & 2, good composition & unusual viewpoint.

Cath, the hotel name mosaic (#2) is a great piece of art. I like the building view.
May I ask what it is on the #5 image? It looks like a simple letterbox of someone living high in the air.

Thanks- these were both hotels/public houses in Middlesbrough many years ago- now sadly they are shops/amusement arcades. They are my 2 fav buildings in the town.

yes I love the mosaic too.
Im not sure what #5 is ! Its a macro shot of the odd item perched on a railing of a road bridge at the Tees Barrage in Middlesbrough. I was playing with macros and discovered the bokeh is quite good with the R10 and macro shots :)

Cath,

I'm just wondering about photo's #1&2, being "old" buildings, what these would look like in either B&W or sepia?

I use the sepia & B&W settings on my CX1 frequently, and really like the effects on old buildings.

Just a thought.

Best wishes,

David

Thanks-Ill try the sepia and b and w settings on these same 2 buildings and post em later. Need to get into town...darn this working full time is cramping my R10 experiments....LOL
