My POD. I'm still in the honeymoon period with the S10. I rather like its portability and range of focal lengths (yes, I've overcome my zoom prejudice). The low light/ hi ISO performance is not great but in many shooting situations it's as good as the GRD4. While I miss the GRD4's DRC and I think the S10 autofocus is slower, the GRX interface does have some advantages such as a usable MF option which I used for this shot.

Richard,
that is a very nice sharp image with a 3D effect. I must say I am tempted to get the S10 unit which is still available at a ridiculously low price. However I have the P10 unit which of course covers the same FL range and more. I am not sure if the advantage of larger aperture and I think a slightly larger sensor in the S10 would be worth having. In any case I have the A16 zoom which is better than both the P10 and S10 but has the drawback of being much larger and uglier.

Archie,

Thanks for the comments. I can't directly compare the S10 & P10 although I know that the S10 has a slightly larger sensor which is the same size as the highly regarded GRD4. Gerd has done a bit of a comparison on his GXR pages (link on right side of the portal). While I've never owned one, I have been tempted in the past by the GX100 and GX200. In fact I had a GX200 on order when Clifton ran out of stock. Having played with the EVF on the GXR I decided it wasn't for me so I regard the GXR + S10 as akin to a GX200 but with a latter 'engine' and some stabilization. The package may be a bit larger but it is very comfortable to hold. I suppose you have to weigh-up how often you need to go beyond '72 mm' and if it is not often then you may like the S10 and at this price you could recoup a good %age selling the P10 (not many around at the moment) or just keep it for those infrequent long telephoto shots.
